SO I just discovered that I'm allergic to cinnamon.  To the point where my mounth, tongue and gums all swell up and start to bleed.  what a strange thing (in my opinion) to be allergic too.  I discovered this while pigging out on Wetzel's cinnamon sugar pretzel bites.  Oh so good but now oh so painful.  I always knew I couldn't eat hot tamales or big red gum, but silly me thought it was the red dye, nope turns out it was the cinnamon.  Oh well, just add that to the long list of foods I should avoid.  You'd think I'd be insanely thin with all the foods I "should" avoid.

Not so fun, but definitely not the worst thing to have an allergy to.

Daddy's playing in an international soccer tournament today and tomorrow.  Lil B and I hung out at the field's while daddy played and I had to participate in a conference call for work.  Lil B was amazing 4 hours at the field.  We did spend a long time watching the "choo choo" of ants climb a tree until they started crawling on him, ewww.  Then home for a nap, while Daddy had more games.  I got a lot done though, mopped the floors, did 3 loads of laundry, started dinner, and picked up the house.  Then off to pick-up Ki .  Then we got daddy from the soccer field and off to the beach an Don Carlos (the best taco shop around) for dinner.  All before Uncle Johnnie and Aunt Michelle stopped by to visit.  What a day and all ready for a repeat tomorrow, since daddy has an 8 o'clock game good things the kids don't believe in sleeping in anyways.

So Ki had her 6 year old check up today which should have an easy in and out appointment. No such luck. We waited in the car in front of the doctor’s office for all most 2 hours with 2 kids. They were so overwhelmed with swine flu cases that the doctors were wearing masking and triaging patients in the car before deciding what door to let them in. The lot was flu and the nurse said they had seen 7 positives just today! Are you serious? I just wanted to take both kids and run into a bubble. Daddy wanted to get the check up so we waited and waited and waited. When we finally so the doc, she was in such a hectic state and even recommended that we not send Ki to school for a while if we don’t want her to get sick! She sent us to CVS to get the H1N1 shot right after our appointment, but they don’t even have it yet so don’t rush there yet. Not sure what we are going to do, ki loves school and even though I want to I am not sure we can really live in a bubble. Seriously considering not going to Souplantation tonight though. I do know we are not going to go to Chuckee Cheese birthday parties anytime in the near future. Ugh all the germies. Maybe I should rename my blog – Diary of a Germaphoby Mommy.

OK, so I am officially starting my annual flu season panic! I called our Pediatrician today to see if the kids could get their flu shouts when Ki has here well check on Thursday and they are OUT! And not planning on getting any more in, GREAT! So they advised me to go to Public Health, are you kidding me I don’t even like going in to their office for fear of germs. So, I called around until a found a local ped who had some shots and would give it to the kids and daddy and I went next door and got the shots too, so now I have to find the H1N1. The kids seem to be dealing with it great and neither of them cried a bit. My arm on the other hand has never hurt so much, OUCH! All I can say now is shoo flu don’t bother us and cross my fingers.

Wow! I think this was the busiest day at Disney I have ever seen and the trick or Treat Party was packed. I think the secrets finally out that it is a really cool event. Also, it turns out that this is the weekend for “gay days” at Disneyland so there was all the Halloween festivities plus all of the people up there for that event too. It was a bit too crowded for my tastes this year, but the kids like it and it was fun too see all the neat costumes, especially the groups and families that were all dressed as a theme. The one thing that was crazy to me was all the people standing in lines for “free” candy, when there were all of the other great thing s to see. Oh well, I guess it less people in line ahead of us right? All in all it was a great and now we are driving home at 11:30 with 3 kids sleeping in the back while daddy and I get ready to listen to grey’s anatomy on Sprint TV. Oh the fun of a new “high tech” cell phone.

So we thought we thought we out run the weekend crowds and go to Disney on a Thursday instead of Friday. Um, no such luck.  Apparently, the only thing not hurting in this economy is Disneyland.  Good for Disney, bad for us having to wait in line.  Oh well, the kids had a great time.  We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel.  Kinda weird since the last time I stayed here I think I was maybe 8.  We like the Grand California much better, but it is sold out.  I do have to say that the staff here has been super friendly and the kids are excited to hangout by the pool tonight after a long day spent at the park.  It was neat to see Lil B really enjoying himself this time.  Both kids have fallen under the Disney Magic.  Tomorrow we plan to spend the day at downtown Disney and the pool and then off to Mickey's Trick or Treat Party in California Adventure tomorrow night, yippee. The kiddos are gonna be so cute in their costumes.

Not much to report today.  It was pretty much just your average Monday, except for the fact that we made it to school on time, yippee! 2 whole days in a row!Kiley was so excited she didn't even realize that they have Monday morning assemblies.  It hink she jiust thought everyone was always in the classroom waiting for her to arrive.  opps!

Slightly thankful that the september bdays are over. 5 family birthdays and 3 close friend bdays all in the same month is a bit of birthday overload, but Lil B has gotten very good at singing happy birthday, unfortunately i think he really just wants the cake.

Shan is excited because we picked up 5 new stores today to sell the Tilty cup.  Yippee.  he also got a really awesome note from a mom last night saying that out of the 9 cups they have tried ours was the only one that worked for their baby.  Tat is so cool that we made some that so many babies love and so many parents are using! Yeah Us!

Yippee so we're going again this year to Mickey's Trick or Treat at Disneyland.  It is so much fun for the kids and for us too!  They close down California adventure early and the park becomes a Halloween wonderland, complete with trick or treat stations, disney characters dressed in costumes, parades, and tons of adults and kids dressed in their own costumes.  It's great. 

the kids love it and it is so uncrowded too and a different experience from the regular daytime disney adventure.  Everyone defintely gets on a sugar high though after visiting all the treat stations, so I recommend setting a limit on the candy consumed ahead of time so there arte no surprises for the kiddos once you get there. 

If you are palnnig on going try to go early in the month because I think it gets busier as the 31st nears and also if you can get a room at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel do it because you get direct entry to the park from your hotel, a huge plus.  I'll update youwhen we get home on how it went and post up some pictures too.

Yikes! This has truely been a day and not in a great way!  After missing the TV segment yesterday morning I was hoping for a bit of a break today, but instead I got a text first thing this AM that our babysitter had food poisoning or stomach flu and wouldn't be able to babysit for the rest of the tradeshow, whcih meant that Shan would be at the show alone the whole time and also that I wouldn't get to shop for any of the fantastic deals on the last day.

So, I thought I'd just spend a few great days down at the pool with the kids and have fun.  Lil B had othe r plans turns out the poor lil guy got the flu and had a 103 temp and didn't feel like doing anything, so I held him all day and tried to entertain Ki at the same time in a hotel room, forntunately we had a suite so there was plenty of room.  Ki was amazing and didn't complain at all. 

We didn go visit Shan at the show for a bit just to get out of the room for an hour and Ki got to play with some of the toys in the other booths.  I hope he feels better tomorrow.

What a bummer today started out to be.  I was supposed to be on Las Vegas Fox in the morning to talk about the Tilty cup.  I got up at 5 am for a 7:20 am appearance, walked out of the hotel at 6 am with my mom in tow to drive 15 minutes to the station, well 15 minutes turned into an hour and a half of fitfull and disasterous driving, while I got miserable lost in Las Vegas!!! Oh dear I missed the segment by 2 minutes.  Seriously!!! How does one do that?  Well for starters I guess I didn't pay close enough attention last night when daddy gave me directions, then I plugged it into my "new" Palm Pre phone in google maps this morning and I must have taken the first turn wrong which sent my "little blue dot" off the map, and then we got bad directions from the 7/11 guy and more bad directions from someone at the station who thought we were on the other side of vegas!!!

Oh I felt like a complete idiot when we finally arrived at the station 2 minutes after the segment was to air, with all fo these great products, including the Tilty in tow.  Fortunately the produce was super cool and posted the products anyways and forgave me for my stupidness. 

Ok so I've got another shot at a TV stardom next Saturday in San Diego, here's to hoping!
