We are so excited the deal with BuyBuy Baby is now official.  You can now find the Tilty in about 50 stores across the country.  Not sure why, but the east coasters seem to have jumped on the "better sippy cup" band wagon quicker than the west coasters.  And we live on the west coast, come on i thought californians were all about trendiness.  Well anyways, we are super excited to have the Tilty cups available in more stores.

Seriously this darn cold/flu thing needs to leave my family alone.  We don't want it to visit any longer and it has defintely outstayed its welcome, bye bye cold.

Well, not that that's going to help, but i have decided that despite taking all of these herbal remedies, vitamin c, echinacia, lederberry extract, airborne andn anything else supposedly helpful, if you're gonna get sick you're gonna get sick and that's just the way it goes!  oh well

Aside from that we're back to reality today, school for Ki, work for mom, babysitter for lil b, and work for daddy. and back to the diet again too!

I also have to try to make a bunch of Doctor appt this week and next before our insurance changes so we don't have to repay our deductable right away, yikes the cost of everything seem to be going up.

So today started off well, but ended up yuck.  The rest of the family went to the Pro Bowl, but Daddy, the kiddos, and I stayed behind to explore Oahu on our own.  We went back tot eh North Shore, so daddy could take pictures of the site of pap's "incident." 

The we had lunch at this little chicken stand and met the guy that plays Jon Locke on Lost, so exciting.  Well all day I kept saying that Lil B was acting fuuny, he

So today was a day!  It started out great, we got our credentials at the hotel and then headed off to the North Shore for a day in the suna dn exploring.  Wehad snow cones and a great lunch at a little roadside stand, but then things went wrong.

My husband, my dad and my 15 year old brother decided to paly in thte water at Sunsets Beach on the North Shore of Oahu, BAD IDEA #1.  Then my dad gets the brilliant idea to try bodysurfing, bad idea #2!

 Well he went head first into to the sand from an 8 foot wave, my husband saved him from drowning and the paramedics arrived and took him to the hospital because they were concerned that he broke is neck.  his nose was bleeding his head was swollen and he was in a ton of pain.  The first hospital didn't have the right equipment to treat him, so they had to wait for another ambulance to pick him up and transport him to Trippler ( a military hospital on the other side of the island).  He spent a total of 11 hours in the emegency rooms and thankfully he is fine! 

Swollen, bloodied, sore, and bruised, but alive and not paralyzed.  The kids we great and endedup spending most of the day and night waiting in the car at different hospitals and driivng around the island.  Let's hope the rest of the trip is much less eventfull.

 

The updated It's a Small World ride opens at disneyland today and it's greaat. We went up for a quick trip to Disneyland and didn't tell the kids until they woke up this morning.  So exciting!

The kids and mom and dad loved it.

They have hidden all sorts of the Disney characters throughout the ride and Ki had the best time trying to find all the new things.  She really loved seeing Jasmine and Aladdin on the flying crapet. 

I was surprised at how much Lil B enjoyed it.  He actually made it through twice and was dancing the hwhole way through.  I have to say thqat it is defintiely worth going to see one of the orinigal Disney favorites with some new life added to it.

We're in Hawaii.  We only slept about 3 hours last night.  I have no idea how my parents took all 7 o us on month long cross country trips, they must have not slept at all.  But we made it.  The flight was packed and full of all sorts of families going to the Pro Bowl.  It was really exciting and the kids didn great.  Ki was amazing and Lil B did pretty well since he had no idea why he was allowed to crawl for 6 hours.

The weather here is so so.  We went down to the main hotle tonight to get our credentials so we could hang out with all of the players but there was some goof up in the list, so we have to go again in the morning, so we just went for a nice stroll along the beach and had chicken from Costco and some hot dogs for dinner, nothing too exciting for our first night, but we will see what tomorrow holds for us.  Hopefully the kids adjsut to the time change alright, so far Bradyn has cried for almost an hour and I am going in to lay with him now, unlike his sister he doesn't seem to like the pack n play, great this could be a long week!

We leave for Hawaii tomorrow morning, yippee!  But the getting ready and getting there part is making me wonder wheter the whole thing is worth it.  Boy packing for four takes some work.  Plus we are staying in a private house, so we have allthe extra kid stuff to bring like a pack n play and stuff.  It's already 11:30 pm and I still have to cut daddy's hair, color mine, workout and finish cleaning up the house since a friend of ours just volunteered to house/dog sit for us.

hopefully the flight is smooth, the probowl is great, and the beaches are warm.  I'm so ready for a bit of a vacation even if daddy does have to do some work while we're there and i have to do some party planning for the probowl player's party we're throwing. 

Hawaii here we come!

Yikes, another busy weekend and only a few days left before our hawaii trip. 

We made a day trip to Disneyland with the kids and had a great time.  The weather was gorgeous and the crowds were pretty minimal.  lil bi becoming a true Disney expert and only 12 months old :)

I am just crossing my fingers that no one in the family comes down witht he crud that seems to be going around with a vengance.  yikes, my bro has it and has had a 103 temp for the past 3 days.  that could really put a crimp in the hawaii trip.  well let's hope for the best.

Well were finally started lil B on his official shot schedule yesterday, we really want to wait  until he was a year old to start and now he is, so he got MMR yesterday and the heel prick to test for anemia, and he didn't really seem to mind either and he seems to be doing well today.
